Bristol based Momentum Corporate Finance has advised the management of Bailey Caravans on the terms of the company share buy back from Patrick Howard.
Following on from the share buy back Stephen Howard is becoming Chairman of Bailey with effect from 1st October 2014. Current Chairman Patrick Howard, brother of Stephen, is retiring after a long and successful career within the caravan and motor home industry. Nick Howard remains Managing Director, having led the business executively since 2005, Simon Howard continues in his role as Marketing Director.
Since the turn of the century Bailey has cemented its position as the UK’s favourite caravan brand now accounting for one in three new sales. This has been achieved following the introduction of its patented Alu-Tech design technology in 2006 which has also allowed Bailey to successfully diversify into new markets. Notably this has included the launch of the first Bailey motor home in 2011 and the development of new caravan sales distribution networks in Australia and New Zealand in 2012.
Patrick Howard commented, “I have enjoyed every minute of the last forty years, seeing the business grow from £5 million revenue in 1973 to £97 million for 2013. The business is in excellent hands with Stephen, Nick and Simon continuing to lead the company.
